In order to ensure a productive day, successful real estate agents should do the following three things every morning. If you do one or all of the tasks below, you will benefit from tackling your business tasks in the morning and form a habit to make your time more manageable and effective.

  • Take the time in the morning to address your day-to-day chores to help you from getting buried under paperwork.
  • Return every inquiry that came in overnight (online, email, text or voicemail).
  • Work on your documentation including agreements, submissions or filing.
  • Note any appointments, tours and/or meetings you have that day and prep for them.
  1. Generate Leads
  • Take time to organize your database and update your records.
  • Reach out to homeowners with expired listings.
  • Take a look at your listing presentations and reconnect with past clients to remind them that you are still there for them and their referrals.
  1. Marketing
  • Marketing your business is a continuous process.
  • Revisit your marketing plan, design material, blog, post on social media and refresh your website with a fresh listing, open house or upcoming event.

 

Once you get in the habit of doing a few business tasks each morning, you won’t find it to be a chore and it will start being your best productivity tool. Successful real estate agents will get these mundane tasks done first thing in the morning that can lead to steady leads and increased business.
